Walk-a-thon

Last month the preschool did a walk-a-thon to upgrade their science program. They walked 7 laps of the Elementary school's soccer field, which I thought was quite impressive for 3 and 4 year olds. Trevor joined the walk-a-thon as well and walked the entire 7 laps too. I was very impressed with him as well. It was a pretty windy and cold day, but we had a good time. 

They gave them little whistles to keep them distracted to give them something to do when they walked.

Swim class

Conner started swim classes today. They started learning water immersion and basic swimming (without floaties). He had a lot of fun and was very proud of himself at the end. Here's a few pix.

Visiting the Children's Museum

Last Sunday we took the kids to the San Jose Children's Museum and it was a lot of fun. They happen to have a Curious George theme over the summer, which was perfect for us as the boys just love that show. It was a really fun time, lots to do there and so many fun ways to learn. Here are a few of the things we did...most of the pictures turned out a bit blurry but I hope they are fun to look at anyway.

Four years ago today, this little boy came into our lives and changed it forever. You're the best thing that ever happened to us and we're so thankful, every day, for you! Happy birthday to our sweet, smart, funny, fun-loving, inquisitive, creative, happy boy! We love you to pieces and can't imagine our lives without you and couldn't be prouder of you!

Spring Sing

The other night all the kids from the preschool and pre-k programs performed 5 songs that they have been learning during chapel throughout the year. The kids all did so well. It was so much fun!

Mother's Day at Preschool

The teachers and kids gave us such a lovely surprise for Mother's Day. They made each Mom a frame with their picture in it and a heart with two of their fingerprints. They also gave us a little vase they had painted with a rose. We had a special snack with them of muffins and fruit. It was so sweet and thoughtful of them and their teachers. I love my munchkin!

Visiting the Children's Creativity Museum in the city

We took the train into the city to spend a day at the Children's Creativity Museum. The boys were sooooo excited to go on the train (even though you can't tell from the pictures) and have been talking about it ever since. They also had a lot of fun at the museum, building and being creative. They especially liked all the magnets there and had fun using them. There was also areas for theater, a music room, legos and a lego wall to build on, clay, drawing, painting, etc. The museum also had a fun park with some very long tunnel slides.
