Some more pictures...and a few words

We took these last Sunday, Father's Day, isn't he just adorable? You're growing up so much baby, it's amazing. 5 wks and you can already be propped up, you're holding your head up pretty good and you're so alert to your surroundings.

I just love these pictures of you with Daddy and speaking of which, I've been wanting to tell you, as I think everyone should know, you know I got so many congratulations for the labor and delivery, but I never would of made it through without your Daddy. I have to say I never expected to be so blessed as to have someone who cares and loves me so much. He took such good care of me through the whole pregnancy including all my emotional outbursts (stood beside me through the miscarriages too), and was there even closer during the whole labor, wouldn't shut an eye as long as I was awake. He's seen and been through with me waaay more than an husband should and never once made me feel awkward or that it was a burden to him. Daily he does all those little things that mean so much to someone and he does it all without ever being asked or ever for the accommodation. And the thing is, he's not just that way with us, he's pretty much like that with everyone -- everyone can count on him. Oh, there's so much more I'd like to say, but well, Honey, I love you -- those words seem so small compared to what I want to say, but words are what I have. I hope you always know that. Thank you for always being there. Thank you for all you do for us and others.

PS: And thank you Linda for the pictures -- you have quite an eye and a gift. Thanks for pushing me to do this. I owe you one. :)

You're One month!

Well, at the time of posting you're actually 5 weeks now (I know, I'm such a slacker blogger!), but anyway, you've already grown so much.

You're 12 lbs and 22 inches long! No wonder we get so tired after carrying you, but hopefully we'll develop some nice arm muscles, at least that's the hope. :)

You're such a good baby though, as long as you're not overtired. You like to lie there and look outside the window, or be in your swing or be cuddled and held. Oh and you're starting to smile at me now, and not just randomly, so maybe it's for real (I'd like to hope anyway).

Mishy -- our hero!

Aunty Mishy came to stay with us for 3 weeks while Mommy was getting better and recovering and did all those little things that make all the difference in the world. We couldn't of made it without you, Mishy and miss you around here. Thank you for all you did for us -- driving us to appointments, making sure we had something to eat, bringing snacks, rocking and taking care of Conner, good talks & keeping me company -- you took such good care of both of us and we had such fun and many good memories of what would of otherwise been a difficult and kind of boring time. We miss you around here! -- And we owe you one!
Thanks also to those who made it possible for her to come here -- we appreciate it immensely!

King of the Castle

So this is how our little boy likes to sleep, all sprawled out, no blankets or coverings of any nature and being sure to take up our whole bed. Isn't he precious? How can you say no.

It's your two-week birthday!

You've already outgrown (in length) some of your newborn sleepers and are changing so much by the day. Here's a picture of you with Daddy today.
