Summer Days

Here's what we've been up to so far -- attended a wedding for our dear friends Kenji and Angel -- (Congrats again you two!), went to SD's Wild Animal Park and Zoo a few times with a few close friends and family, celebrated cousin Noelle's birthday at a fun splash park, been to the pool a lot, went to the Del Mar county fair, had a few days off together as a family before the new baby comes, had a great visit with Danni and cousins Trei and Desiree and celebrated a fun July 4th with family -- all in all a great summer! Of course all of this has come with its share of challenges and difficult/trying times throughout, but it's made me appreciate and live in those little moments so much more. God is good!

And I think one of the greatest joys of this summer has been to see, enjoy and live the world through my little boy's eyes and watch him grow, learn and develop. Conner is growing up so fast and starting to talk now too. Besides, "mama' and 'dada' he says 'apple', 'bubble', 'ball', 'yes', 'yeah' and knows some animal sounds too. Hopefully soon, I'll post some vids of him too.

Happy birthday Danni!

Happy birthday to one awesome and gorgeous lady, mother, friend, confidant, sister, fun-loving person and more. Here's to you this year! We're wishing you the best and praying the Lord gives you a very fulfilling and personally enjoyable year and special year ahead. You're someone I look up to and admire very much as with all you go through on a daily basis, you stay so cheerful, positive and upbeat -- always seeing the good. We hope the Lord gives back to you in BIG and little ways throughout year that mean the most to you and that today you'll get to kick back, relax and enjoy your special day in every way. Hope to see more of you this year too.

Conner is weaned!

It's been quite a bunch of milestones for the little man, first walking and now, last weekend, thanks to Daddy he got weaned. Woohoo!! Still adjusting to it myself, ha, but it's good timing seeing as I turned 27 weeks on Sunday, so just a few months until our second little man is here. Conner did so good, took a couple nights without Mommy and last night was our first night he slept straight through -- we're hoping and praying that lasts. He's now waking up at 5:30, but one thing at a time. I'm so proud of him for being so brave.

And he's walking!

Our little boy is off...woo-hoo! He really started taking off right on his birthday a couple days ago. He had begun taking steps a few months back, but more and more recently and now he's pretty much got it down and is just working on getting more stable. It's so much fun to watch him grow up. I'll try to post a clip soon.

Especially for Danni, Duane, Trei and Desi

Just a clip of Conner playing with the toy you sent for his bday. He loves it. Every morning when he wakes up, he'll crawl right over to it and play with it. Thank you guys so much!

Happy Mother's Day!

Mom, none of us would be where we are, who we are or have the most amazing lives, husbands, kids and friends without you! Thank you for being the most caring, understanding, loving, concerned, compassionate, selfless (and more) Mom one could of asked for and being all these things and more to our kids and so many others and their kids as well. You are one to look up to, admire, respect, emulate and appreciate. I love you and hope you had a very great day! Happy Mothers Day to you!


And to my dear Mother-in-law, Delight, I love you and pray for you often. Thank you for being such a big part of the joy and happiness that is in my life, without you, none of this would of happened -- this day makes me so thankful for my wonderful Husband and son that I am so blessed to be a mother to. Thank you for being a wonderful Grandma and Mother in law to us. Hope you had the most wonderful day!
