I feel like I'm still so new to this "motherhood" thing, so much to learn, so many ways I could do it better and like I have such a long to go, so I guess that's why this quote stood out to me.

In an encouraging way it puts things in perspective.

Another day in motherhood...

So we had a very eventful weekend. On Saturday, we took the boys to a little park and another kid on a bike ran into Conner, hitting him right above his right eyebrow and we ended up rushing to ER for stitches!! Thankfully, we were seen pretty quickly and we got a very kind and good doctor as well as nurses who did their best to help put us and Conner at ease as much as they could.

You can imagine how traumatic it was for Conner though and heartbreaking for us!! Poor little baby was soooo brave and we were just soooo grateful it wasn't his eye and that it didn't reach his bone or anything like that.

So far it seems to be healing well, but if you think of us, please keep the full healing in your prayers. Thank you!

Happy birthday to a wonderful sister and friend!! I know today won't be the best of days, but I sure hope this new year treats you well, bringing you tons of happiness, good times, wonderful memories and more. You surely deserve it! Thanks for being a wonderful sister, friend, Auntie and a beautiful person inside and out. We love you!

Updates, updates!

Well, kids have been sick for the past four weeks. There's a strange flu(s) going around these parts and you get better for a couple days (thus my last post) and then your sick all over again and even a bit worse.

Poor little Conner had a ear infection and lost a few pounds through it and little Trevor hasn't gained any weight this month. Oh well. The kids seem to now be pulling out of it, at least we are hoping so, but now Michael and I are both pretty sick, so please continue to pray for us and that it doesn't go around again. Txs!

Anyways, in happy news, Trevor is now 5 mns (almost 5 1/2) now and weighs 16.9lbs, so still a chubster. And he got his second tooth! He's getting cuter and happier every day. He's in the stage where he's dying to be able to play, eat, do any and everything but can't yet so it's a bit frustrating for him, but otherwise, he's the cutest and happiest thing on the block. Conner is growing so much every day, saying new words, learning how to put them together into a sentence. Can pick out and count from 1-10, and can pick out colors, yay! He's growing up so much! He's also very much into his little brother, he's the first thing he looks for in the morning or after nap and I just can't be upset when he has the biggest smile on his face from finding him, even though Trevor was fast asleep.

I forgot to note and thank everyone who prayed for the kids. They are doing wonderfully better. Trevor still has a congested cough, but it's not nearly as bad as it was and TG no one else got it either, whew! Thank you so much for praying for us!

First tooth!

So Trevor's first tooth is popping through. YAY! I'm hoping this is the reason (and end) to the sleepless naps and nights we've been having and not a phaze he's going through.
