Girls day out and afternoon BBQ with friends...

On one of our very last days there, the wonderful Husbands watched the kids while us ladies (Crystal, Claire, Cristina and I) went out for a morning coffee and an early afternoon aperitif. It was a wonderful time.

Then in the afternoon the wonderful Quaranta's hosted an amazing BBQ and the kids had an afternoon of water fun. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pix of the food, but trust me, it was amazing!

We spent a day at the pool in Verona where we met up with Michael's sister Chiara and her girls and Lisa and her kiddos (and yes, the caps were mandatory).

I love how kids find so much fun in the smallest of things -- like a hose -- and genuinely find happiness and can enjoy for hours.

And then we went North...

After staying two and a half weeks in beautiful Tuscany and saying our goodbyes to our lovely family there, we then went North, about an hour from Milan, for our last week to visit with friends and more family there.

One day we went to the beautiful lake Iseo with Luca, Claire and some friends...
