Sand, sand...and more sand!

My kids found a love for sand! They played at a park for about an hour today in the sand, even people around me were amazed. So was I. (Here's hoping this love lasts at least a few park trips.) It was pretty nice. There are some pretty great parks here and every one I have been to so far has both a wood-chip park and then a sand area with little diggers that kids can sit and play on. You can imagine Conner's joy!

Here are some pix from today of them.

At the Zoo!

We went to check out the Oakland Zoo yesterday and here are some pix. It's small, much smaller than the SD Zoo or Wild Animal Park, but the nice thing is that though there are tons of variety in animals, there are quite a few of each one and they are very close so you can see them very clearly, almost touch them. So it's nice and feels very low maintenance, which works for me with them both being so young. They also have quite a nice play area for kids, so it's very nice. Conner really enjoyed being so close to the animals.

We got to see giraffes, otters, alligators (one of which was really close and did a big yawn which totally scared little Conner :( ), goats, tigers, monkeys, an anaconda, macaws and there are more animals we didn't see yet.

Here are a few pix to enjoy!

Happy 2nd birthday to our little man!

Happy birthday baby! It's hard to believe that just two years ago, the most precious little guy came into our lives, changing us forever. It was, by far, the best change we could of asked for! Conner, you are the world's most precious little boy. It's been a joy being your mama and dada every step of the way. Every day with you is better than before, you give us so much to look forward to. Thank you for coming into our lives, choosing us and making us parents. We couldn't be happier, more proud or love you more!

Sea World fun!

We took the kids to Sea World over this past weekend and had the best of times. Conner just LOVED watching Shamu's show, watching the dolphins, holding the starfish, the aquarium and the skylift. Trevor loved watching the sharks swim over his head and playing in the kids playground and the dolphins.

Here's a few pix.

Starting a new adventure.

As of tomorrow, we'll be on our way to starting a new adventure. We'll be sad to be leaving dear friends and family and the place we've called home since becoming a family...but we're excited to be moving towards the new and look forward to the new adventures that await.

Thanks for your prayers that our move goes smoothly and for our settling in. More later...

April news & pix...

For my birthday, Marco and Feli watched our kids so we could go out. We ended up going to the place we were married and had the most scrumptious of brunches! Unbeknownst to us, they were having a champagne buffet, so we had bottomless champagne and all sorts of yummy foods. It was most delicious and such a gorgeous day.

Later, we took the kids to the Wild Animal Park, cuz no weekend is complete without a visit. :) heh!

And Blogger is messing up the order, but anyway, here are a couple pics. Enjoy!

Little family pic at the Wild Animal Park...

Also at the Animal Park...

The bottomless champagne and just to show how full they kept our glasses...yum!

Where we got married, almost 3 years ago...

The beautiful San Diego harbor...

Trevor's latest and greatest news!

So he just turned 8 mns, still weighing 20 lbs, but he has grow taller, already in 12 mn clothes! Can already pull himself up, starting to cruise and stands holding on with one hand, tonight I even caught him letting go and trying to "walk" from one place to the next, he promptly fell, but that means nothing to him, he smiles, gets up and tries again.

He also tries to feed himself, drinks water from a bottle and does a bunch of other things that I can't remember at this point.

He's just in the cutest of stages and ages right now and seems to be growing up waaaay too fast!! Here's some recent pix (thanks Feli!).
